Constant stutters?
Game's fun but I have no idea what people are talking about when they say it's well optimized, it stutters like crazy and I have no idea how to fix it.

What makes it worse is getting shot at or smoke being deployed (y'know, during combat...) seems to make it freeze more. I'd say a good chunk of my deaths are due to this which is REALLY frustrating

My specs in case anyone is wondering

I5-6500k
RTX 2060 8 GB
8 gb RAM

Had it on double buffered but I read a guide saying to go to the nvidia panel and turning off vsync through there, it helped a little bit but it still stutters like crazy. I'll try dynamic and see if anything changes.

  • Play in Fullscreen.
  • V-Sync in-game off but use the Nvidia Control Panel[i.imgur.com] and turn V-Sync on from there.
  • Set the Power Management Mode to "Prefer Maximum Performance".
  • Turn off Sound Occlusion in the Audio Settings in Titanfall.
Problem is that the frame rate goes to high it can make the game stutter, so using V-Sync will cap the framerate. Would not recommend limiting FPS via a 3rd Party Program.

Tried both of these, I turned sound occlusion off and set power mode to "prefer maximum performance" as well as turning it to dynamic vsync and it works! I can actually play now. Thank you guys so much
Glad to hear it!

Turn off V sync

Changing from Triple Buffered to Adaptive (Dynamic) fixed this issue for me:
Playing a video (in browser or video player) on my second display resulted in bad stuttering in game (if video has focus) or frozen video (if game has focus).
