Breaking support for Linux including Steam Deck with kernel level anti-cheat years after release is absolute garbage.

Kernel Level Anticheat.

I have more than 150 hours in this game, and it is one of my favourite multiplayer games of all time (Definitely the best battlefield game by far). I have encountered my fair share of cheaters, BUT THAT IS WHAT COMMUNITY SERVERS ARE FOR, everyone who was put off by the cheating found the solution, and those who left weren't going to play the game anyway.

So basically, by adding this invasive dog ♥♥♥♥ Kernel level anticheat that no one was asking for, they are completely barring Linux users from playing the product THAT THEY PAID FOR, opening up legitimate players' computers to significant threats, and most importantly, NOT. STOPPING. CHEATERS. (Which has has been seen in every single case of Kernel Level Anticheat being used in the industry, ex. Apex Pro League fiasco)

But of course, since EA has to enshittify every thing they touch, they return after 7 years of abandoning the game, not to revitalise the game with new content, an event, or god forbid a vote-kick system, but instead to take a massive dump on this work of art and its playerbase.
