The Pale Beyond Demo Save File Importing Guide
Hey there, here's some additional info on importing demo saves into the full game:

  • Only Demo saves from this year's 1.4.0.0 demo can be imported across into the full game. Saves from last year's demo wont work to avoid technical issues.

  • Importing saves from the Demo will DELETE any existing saves you currently have in the full game.

  • The demo saves import button can be found in the main menu under the 'EXTRAS' options and found on the bottom right of the screen.

  • If your imported saves aren't immediately available after confirming the import, try completely closing and rebooting The Pale Beyond application to see if they appear. If you're still having issues with importing demo saves, please reach out to us on our discord and we can provide further support.

My demo version is 1.4.02 and when I try to import the demo I get the message that there are no files available to import.

Playing on iMac OS 14.1.1

Hey there, on Mac if you manually copy the entire contents of the "The Pale Beyond Demo" folder from your library into the "The Pale Beyond" folder that can work as well

I played the demo on steam deck and wanted to continue on the deck aswell but it says it cant find the save file. Is there a solution for this?

I had the same issue and then copied the files from one folder (The Pale Beyond Demo) to the other folder (The Pale Beyond).
The files were stored here:
%USERPROFILE% \AppData\LocalLow\BellularStudios\The Pale Beyond Deom
%USERPROFILE% \AppData\LocalLow\BellularStudios\The Pale Beyond

Start the game and go to "continue". Now your saved progress is there.

for osx I had to open a terminal an run:

cp -rv Library/Application\ Support/com.BellularStudios.ThePaleBeyondAlpha2021Milestone2Rebuild/* Library/Application\ Support/BellularStudios/The\ Pale\ Beyond/
