Insufficient Science
I must be missing something simple here. I went ahead and did a bunch of research and now i only have $40 science left, not enough to do the $100 missions.... any clue to what i should do?

I assume the 40-day bar on the right of the map is red? If you spent all your $cience and don't have enough to begin an Investigation, skip a turn (hold B) until you get attacked. You'll get some $cience when you beat the mission.

The money is quite scarce, at the end of the game you need to grind a bit to get all upgrades and researches.
