Definitely appreciating that Devs are citing Factorio... A not so communicative dev team which posted every friday for 322 times only. Good luck with vaporware.

There is one simple reason I would buy this game: if it kills the only problem OpenTTD has which is the long time motivation. After very short time you have endless money in OpenTTD which means there is no point of playing further besides building nice or pointless long tracks. If Art of the Rail has any more motivation for me and my friends to play a long session - thats my reason to buy it.

Not releasing beta/early-access on Steam. Because that wouldn't include the people who he would want to test it. Full game will definitely be on Steam. It wouldn't be up on Steam otherwise.
