Random players dropping modded legendary gear
So I only recently started playing with randos online while working on leveling up my second character to surpasses my first
and this morning some guy dropped a couple legendary items that were definitely modded. Not to mention all the skeleton keys he spent opening the gold chest that dropped more legendary stuff. He did this after going after all the gold dice I haven't used yet on character #1.

Are these items safe to keep and use? Will I get banned or have my game file corrupted from owning them? If I can keep them, that's really nice but I don't know what 2k is like when it comes to file modding and cheating gear.

because this game is coop it appears there are no restrictions at present

no one cares mate enjoy, we all used gibbed editors on all the borderlands games to make our own weapons, no one gives a sh1t mate, just enjoy them till they null and hopefully he comes back to give u more at a better level lmfao

You can not get banned
There are no servers, the game is peer to peer, and it is a coop game.
You can just leave a game you dont like, or punt people out of your game if you are hosting.

There is no competitive game play etc, no servers, no ladders etc so nothing for 2k to babysit or ban etc.

gearbox stopped going after modded weapons? i remember losing every item i had on xbox because i had guns a rando dropped on me, when borderlands 1 got purged of any remotely modded item, and their solution was to delete everything that character had
