I don't see why it would be trouble.
That is the biggest problem to most civs… they are not big/powerfull enough to be implemented in the games.
Israel in civ is not impossible, it is just very unlike. But you can make a mod where Israel is a civ in one era.
This feature is truly one of the worst ideas I remember in gaming history, and probably coming straight from politics... if not, what else.
in it's short history the level of barbarism and terror is well recorded.
They specialise in disregarding international law and their abuse of human rights is abhorrent to all decent human beings.
But yea lets bring them into a game ...No chance & rightly so
It would certainly be a controversial decision, but the game contains lots of them already from a design point of view. Hebrews are not israelis, and could be the way to go. As far as I can tell, denying the existence of the hebrews is un-islamic and goes against that religion.
On the moral stance you mention, I don't think we should forget that billions and billions of dollars from all of us, world taxpayers, are going to the other side in that war, every year without exception and since way before the current conflict. That is how those expensive underground tunnels got made, and lots of weapons were bought. In fact, our own western money is what enabled the events of October. So, you could very well say that we have a moral debt on both sides.
Its a real tragedy when people die... but making a clear "moral stance" while standing on muddled waters would be nothing else but typical demagoguery. In any case, as with everything, you have an opinion, I have an opinion, and the OP has yet another opinion. And that's OK. It shouldn't be the purpose of an entertainment piece to tell people what to think about real world stuff.
