I'd rank SoD2 in my top 5 favorite games. Absolutely satisfying and addictive game loop, lots of variety of play styles, and just perfect tone and mood. I'm just as psyched for SoD3.

I honestly don't need to see a ton of crazy innovation; I hope there's a similarly satisfying progression of base improvement and map progression, it's super satisfying to slowly work your way up from a basic base to a big one, and work on improving your cast of characters.

I will say that reading many of the posts on these forums makes me think that survival games like this must appeal to survivalist power fantasy types who are hoping for an actual apocalypse so they can get back to their cultural roots of murdering and oppressing people with impunity. Sorry that the game might not satisfy your wish-fulfillment fantasies, boys. Society just keeps marching forward, darn it all. But don't worry, I'm sure history will be super kind to you and yours.
