Assasination boss fight tips against his shield
What are his weakeness exactly to speedrun his boss fight?
I use Recon Lasgun(RL) with Headhunter and Infernus; for obvious reason, hitting shields can't hit a weakspot. So RL is only good when he is out of shield right?
Do explosives do more damage to his shield?

the shield of the captain is different from the shield of rinda karnak. it counts as its own damage type, called void shield, and it takes half damage from fire arms and explosion. It's also segmented in a way that you can't damage the whole shield in a single hit, there is like a max damage that you can do to the shield in a single hit.

Fast hitting melee weapon, or chain weapon and hit shield with the rev attack, are the best ways to deal with the shield.

Melee spam, ignore everything else. If you are quick enough nothing will have a chance to spawn.

Rinda takes more RANGED damage on her shield,
Rodin takes more MELEE damage on his shield

If you have an ogryn with the increased firerate ability they have, combined with a twin-linked stubber, they will absolutely shred that shield easy.

ranged attacks do half damage vs. void shield

melee attacks do triple damage vs. void shield

scab captains also take double damage from melee when his shield is down

so... yeah. hit him with a shovel.

Special attack from chain weapons or new mace. Drops those shields faster than anything I've ever seen.
