Got this in a humble bundle a long time ago now but heard it was super broken on release. Has the devs said or done anything since release?

I want to start playing, is there a guide for avoiding all the softlocks and similar issues? Some of the threads here look useful such as Will This Game Be Fixed? but is this all the information I'll need? I wish I'd not bought it but the opening does look good at least. Really disappointed with the companies involved Fulqum etc for leaving it in this state. Will probably watch out for that name in future...

Considering it has been almost two months since the last patch, I figured I'd ask in the vain hopes there is a reply. I don't own the game, but have been following development for awhile. While the launch was considered underwhelming by many users, I'm holding out hope this team hasn't just moved on....
