Will both players in multiplayer mode have to pay for the game?

Will it be like you need both you and your friend to buy the game to play together? or is it going to hopefully be like "It Takes two" were only one player needs to purchase the game and the other player gets a friend pass then both can play?

Looks like there will not be Remote play together.. both have to buy it if im not wrong, F

It's gonna be like "It Takes Two", so don't worry. You'll just need to worry if you and your friend are playing in the same platform (PC, PS4/PS5, etc...).
