Report a translation problem
I think the balance here is pretty good right now but I do think it's hard for new players to realize this mechanic. I am considering ways I can make that more obvious. Is there a good way to inform players of this that you can think of?
I didn't know that kinds of feature existed. You should make a tutorial level that explains basic controls and systems like that, it would be more helpful. But there are some people who never take a look at tutorial and get frustrated in the game(I met this kinds of person a lot in my games), so consider adding in-game tips option.

Can I ask what weapons you were using that you felt you were constantly running out of ammo with?
While in movement particles being pulled into the ship that are the same color as the weapons discharge / energy meter so long as its being "reloaded" might work.
