does anyone know if you can retrieve steam cloud saves ?

Somehow wanting to replay the game after a few months my steam cloud saves seemed to have vanished into the shadow realm .

Local saves don't exist anymore and steam cloud is telling me it's empty .

I am screwed, am i right ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
