Might be worth backing up your save file which is located in: <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\1454400\remote\save.txt
Edit: not entirely sure if the pcgamingwiki save location is correct.
Very sorry, thanks. Maybe I'll try a reinstall if I can't figure out anything else. The Export Save button does give me something to Copy+Paste if that would substitute the folder I can't find.
Much appreciation
It's a good idea to use the save export to back up your save file occasionally anyways.
I am definitely gonna start using Exports regardless of if I have to restart from scratch or not though. It's a bad habit I NEED to break...
Also the game saves on steam cloud and I don't think uninstalling usually deletes the save file. Might not even need the export.
-Copied my export as an emergency backup
-Went to Installed Files (right clicking on the game in my Steam list) copied my mods to an outside folder, and deleted the game's copies
-Unsubscribed from all of my Workshop mods (but favorited so I can find them again easily
-Reinstalled the game the few times after opening still didn't work
-Opened/closed it a few times, for some reason it kept my graphics and such
-Somehow it randomly decided to work, the only thing I lost was how much my Wrinklers had eaten
I re-subscribed to my Workshop list and re-pasted my mods, grabbed a new Save Export, tried to switch to the Workshop mod again, and it did the same thing. So I did the same process, except I didn't even have to reinstall before it worked. I'm not going to try using that reskin anymore. (Nothing against the maker, my pc is the one that's unhappy. Keep being cool!)
Either way, I got my save back, it functions, and the majority of my mods and Workshops show up on the list. Plus I still have a sparkling croissant with googly eyes chewing on a circular hamster.
I owe you 414 hours plus a Shiny Wrinkler of thanks. Very much appreciation for your help, you saved my bakery
