鬼谷八荒 Tale of Immortal

Can't do anything
So, this happened to me once before, making me extremely surprised I cannot find anything about it at all in the discussion board.

I went through a sect promotion duel, my game crashed so I had to reload the autosave, and now I cannot do ANYTHING. Time will not pass no matter how far I move, I cannot skip time, I cannot do cultivation/refine imps, literally anything. I cannot enter towns or talk to people. I can do nothing. I have restarted my PC, I have verified integrity, I have reinstalled.

edit: Also restored from backup, a year earlier, still couldn't do anything with that character

Try loading an earlier save. You can do this even on Chaos difficulty.
It's the green icon in the top left corner when you select a character.

Tried that, and tried overwriting the save through the backup in my local files, still cannot interact with anything. I can on other characters though.

Try cleaning this folder, most likely it remains even after deleting and maybe this will help.

Still nothing, also worth noting I can't even quit the game with this character, it hangs on a black screen because NOTHING can process for him.
Edit: I've just deleted him since there seems to be zero fixing this.

Have same problem, play without any problems before, game wasn't crash or anything, just in some moment all interaction stop work. Tried to use backup saves, same problem on all of them.
After looking for log files only error i found is this:

This is probably where this bug happens, so game don't know what to do next.
so, do you know anything to fix this?
I've encountered the same thing this morning. No crashes, ended the game yesterday and now when a save is loaded the region name pops up, hangs around in the middle of the screen and nothing works, including exiting the game.

me n one of the guy in discord kinda sure that retrieve interspatial ring town quest was the one causing it, so if you have a backup save before doing that quest, it'll work supposedly

I didn't have that quest going, mine crashed as something to do with the results of a promotion duel in a sect.
Likewise no quest. I was able to go back to a save before the new year, but any save after the new year it comes up with errors. i tried a fixsavedata mod which made most of it work however the below still shows up for every npc

I didn't have any town quests on me at all, i was only doing new quests from dlc. Beside even when i tried to use backup saves, thats was saved before i progress i have same bug too.
Most annoing part of this bug, after all, thats you can't really trace when and where this bug occur, because you can get bug before its break you game and play fine till some point, when game just broke.
Only possible solution for this right now is to make constant backups by hand with every 6-month- 1 year intervals and if you game bugged out, you at least can try to recover using last working save, if old save work at all.
Still you can try to make backup saves more often, but i personaly won't try this, because i tried to use 3 month old backups and them still broken too.
Imho even if you lost 1 year of progression, this is still better, then you lost you save completely, this is important part when you play at chaos and done alot farming.

I don't know if it's Da Gui but if you search ingame for fixSaveData in the mods there's the top one with 95%+ rating.

somehow all my save points broke after doing that interspatial ring quest, and its around 8 months forward, the one working was the save point before the quest and before. probably there are more factors that lead to this.
Also, Da Gui's mod didnt work for me, along with one other FixSaveData mod guy

Could be more factors we dont know that lead to this, hoping u guys didn't get any error after doing interspatial
