Requesting reinforcements!

We're excited to announce that we'll be running a Closed Multiplayer Beta starting on Thursday, November 7 to Thursday, November 21, 2024!

There are limited slots available for this test, so be sure to sign up early to secure your spot. In the coming weeks, we will email those who have been selected for the test to confirm their entry and provide further instructions ahead of the November 7 start date.

The Closed Multiplayer Beta will include:

Online Multiplayer mode - This mode will include Ranked matchmaking (public rank shown in the leaderboard) and Unranked matchmaking (casual, does not affect ranking) options for multiplayer.
AI Skirmish mode - For this test, you'll be able to play on your own against bots in skirmish matches. In the full release, you will be able to create online custom matches with your friends that also include bots. Bot difficulty can be set to Easy, Medium, or Hard.
2 Factions - Players will have both the Global Defense Force (GDF) and the Tempest Dynasty (DYN) factions available to play in Multiplayer or Skirmish modes.
3 Maps - The included maps are Alps (2v2), Overgrown Oasis (1v1), and Altitude (1v1).

Mission accomplished.

Hey everyone, the latest Tempest Rising demo featured in TactiCon 2024 was a great success!

Over 29,000 players downloaded the demo and nearly 4,000 players filled in our feedback survey. The team was ecstatic seeing everyone playing and enjoying the game, and we received loads of valuable feedback during the demo period that will be using to improve the game during development!

Also, our Lead Game Designer on Tempest Rising, Brandon Casteel, joined a panel during TactiCon and discussed the history and resurgence of the RTS genre. He was joined by other RTS developers working on Rogue Command, Dune Spice Wars, and CHAOTIC ERA.

Unit targeting priorities

Are desperately needed. Watching five of my tanks die because they are all shooting at infantry instead of the enemy tanks that are just absolutely destroying them is a huge and I mean huge turn off. The fact that I need to manually tell them to do that is just terrible when there are so many units on the screen and so many different things that you need to be doing. For the record I am a veteran of the old c&c games and many more rts games like age of empires (had the originals on CD) empire Earth, etc ...

Is the game cancelled?

It's been more than a year since the release date was announced, it has been delayed, and now there is not even a date anymore. There has been no announcement whatsoever to explain what is being worked on for an entire year. Is the third faction going to be released at launch? Will the third faction have a campaign? No clue on what would take so much time being worked on. So assuming the game is now cancelled, what does explain such "postponed indefinitely" fate that so many cancelled games know?...

Seriously. Why announce you're putting this game out a year ago, if you can't even take the time to give an update. Was so excited for this game. would have had all my friends buy it. yall S the bed. No update in a week, and the only rec Tempest is gonna get is to replace management. So many people wanted this game. the demo was great. borderline perfect. then we see videos about rolling balls and this weird looking guy telling us about his passions. put the game out. make the multi easily searchable...

The Zoom out Sucks

Another new RTS game where the zoom-out distance is limited, you cannot zoom out far enough for a strategic view of the Battlefield. take notes from "Beyond-All- Reason"
