If you played Shining Force or Ogre Battle growing up, this will hit you right in the nostalgia. If you haven't and enjoy RPGs or tactical games, this is a shining gem. The musical score is great, the gameplay is awesome, and the graphics are reminiscent of the 16-bit era. The story does leave something to be desired, it is a bit simplistic, but the gameplay more than makes up for it with a vast array of classes for your squads from elite heavy cavalry, magic-users, healers, black powder, and dragons. If you enjoy spending twice or three times as long fine tuning your army as you do playing them on the field, you'll be right at home here.

I look forward to another installment of this kind of game if the publisher will continue along this path.
