Dungeons and Diagrams: Post your seeds!
The interesting ones will naturally be more difficult; how many steps ahead do you need to think for the toughest ones? Are there patterns that you look for to solve them quickly?

33162860

More I found difficult:
64258975
87613147

This one was good because it was not straightforward, but didn't require too many steps of thinking ahead, the sweet spot.

Here are some tough seeds for me:
62211186
12515479
55567323
77586083
80193580
19699871

This was very difficult for me, with a lot of backtracking: 95056088
Would be interesting to see a mostly logical solution for it.

40701589 is the most difficult I've ever seen, I would love to know if there's a pure logic solution

My analysis: first, know that a "trial and error" approach is logically equivalent to a full set of boolean equations, it's just a matter of whether you're keeping it all in your head at once or doing it in pieces. That said, a good solution always uses the minimum number of variables or steps, and it will be easier to follow. Then the hardest puzzles will have a larger minimum that may not be possible to keep in your head.

This was my approach:
blocks E3 E1
gem B1
block A2 D3 D1 F1
gem H3
block F3G3
gem H2 H4
gems C2 C4 F5 H6
---
block E6 D7
block A7
gem B8 C8 E8 D8
block H8 G8
gem F7
block E7

Gets a little sketchy past halfway, but see what you think.

13600669 "Endless Bog" Difficulty: Level 7-8

This one was pretty funny: 77005446 practically plays itself with how easy it is, and I've never seen so many enemies on a board.

Backtrack hell for sure.

66281752. Easiest one I've seen with 12 monsters. 21556734 is another 12 monster one.

That one gave me a headache. ;)

72496922 was a good one. I didn't have to do any guessing, but it still took me a while.

Yes, this was excellent!

I enjoyed it; for me it was too much to keep in my head and had to backtrack a little for 1 or 2 parts, but that may be a desirable difficulty.

Unusual for sure, I like the amusing ones thrown in by the generator.

FYI (from one who has studied logic), when you say "backtracking" or "trial and error", what you're referring to is a method of proof called reductio ad absurdum… whereby you start with an assumption, and if by logical deduction that leads to a contradiction, then you've proven that the original assumption is false.

…and having to use it all the time to solve a puzzle of this ilk is a pain in the butt!

Out of curiosity, I entered 99999999 and discovered the name of the room changes to THE GARDENS OF HELL
