You will need to deliver the resources the factory needs to produce goods.
If you deliver resources to a factory, but have no vehicles to pick up the goods, you will still get paid for delivery, but the factory will not produce any goods in your station. If you have a vehicle that can transport good waiting at the station when the resources turn up, the factory will produce goods, and they will turn up in your station.

Yea, I'm taking all the stuff to the factory (livestock, grain, steel), just wondered if I need trucks to pick up the goods or if they'll just get distributed (and I get the money for it!) properly that way. Cheers!

You'll need to deliver the goods yourself. You only get paid for what you deliver.
