Callisto Protocol takes too much flak for being mid or compared to Dead Space, enjoyed it both on PlayStation and now PC the game isn't the longest and the combat can be both repetitive and straightforward forward but I find it enjoyable (probs just me but idgaf) the lore and the story had the potential for a sequel but mid reviews and constant comparison to dead space drove this game into the ground before on launch day, has an ok/rushed ending to go forwards with the "Final Transmission" DLC (which was very disappointing DLC and a slap in the face to players) Don't buy this full price get the deluxe edition for $30 bucks or at its cheapest it's still worth a try for its story/acting but the gameplay has its flaws but I enjoyed it maybe yall might not.....

I finally got this game cause it was on sale for 75% off. Played it about five hours and can't load my game. Started reading on the community posting to see if anyone else had this problem and sure enough they did. Asked Steam for a refund and they said I exceeded the "2 hour," mark so no refund...this is BS since how was I suppose to know that my long gaming session was going to cost me a refund!? I will change my review once the developer fix this problem but so far it hasn't been fix. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GAME. Don't make the same mistake I did! Had I known this was an issue, I wouldn't have purchase this game even if it was 90% off!

This game is NOT recommended at full price. It has too much jank. The game will run smooth for a while and then hit times of stutters. The story could be better and more in depth. The combat, while not terrible is kinda lame after a while with all the dodging. It is often not clear which paths are side paths with loot and which continue the main quest. It is not always easy to get back where you wanted to go after taking a side route. There doesn't seem to be any map. And my latest issue is when starting up the game there is no option to continue! I may be able to find some work around but for a game that has been out almost 2 years this is absolutely pathetic. Keep in mind I have NO mods installed at all and have done nothings whatsoever to modify ANY of the games files. I'm glad I got this game on sale (digital deluxe) for $20 as if I had paid full price I REALLY would have gotten ripped off. Also, even if the game didn't have any of these issues, any game that hides the true ending behind DLC should get an automatic thumbs down from EVERYONE, EVERY TIME. Do not pay more than $20 or $25 at the most for this game and of course do not get the regular edition as that does not include the true ending.
