Unable to talk to the Scoutmaster in Ch. 4.

Hi! Really been enjoying this game, played it years ago when it first came out and it's still great. However, I've run into an issue in chapter 4 where I am unable to talk to the Ahoul scoutmaster. I have talked to Olon and he says he's given me the mask, but so far I have been unable to talk to any Ahoul, they're all hostile and I can't get the training from the Scoutmaster. Has anyone encountered this issue? Or am I just being dumb and forgetting something?...

Did I just get soft-locked in Village 3 "boulder" stairs?

Returned the chalice, found the tunnels (killed everyone at both ends), and have completed every side quest, from steel to gift. Only thing in quest log is now a bit about finding my brother, but the game won't let me go downstairs in Village 3. It's still blocked by the boulder. Are we supposed to do quests in some mysterious order that I didn't follow?

EDIT: OK, there are two stairs blocked. First one is in village 1 (which I just discovered, didn't even notice it before), but ...

Couple of weird bugs

Been playing this game since I bought it in a discount bin at Walmart, however with the new Steam release I've had a few issues. Mainly with the journal, I swear you used to be able to toggle between cursive and typed and in the current state it changes back and forth. My latest playthrough when Sir Roth dies fighting Mithras, I got the journal update, but its a blank page not even the texture of the book appears. Anyone have any ideas?...

Spiel startet gar nicht

Moin, ich habe mir nun das Spiel wegen Nostalgie geholt und es startet erst gar nicht. Also nicht einmal schwarzer Bildschirm. Habe Windows 10 und einen alten Rechner mit Nividia Grafikkarte, Prozessor auch kein AMD. Hat jemand da eine Ahnung wie ich das Spiel zum laufen bringe?...
