You aware that you can buy the right to use 3D models that someone else made, right?

Edit: did you ever see phasmophobia? That game i almost fully bought assets and the dev said that from the beginning since he didn't want to "waste" his time with making models and textures. So you will see some of them for sure in other games.

it doesnt change anything i've said. no i dont care for phasmophobia and if other games take assets from other games too. i also didnt read anything about them using assets by other people. the creatures they're using in this game particular are the main enemy in Starsand and very important to the story which makes this even worse. if you dont care thats fine. to me it feels cheap and i know there are others who feel the same way about stuff like this.

I was just referring to the "stolen" part of your post. You are accusing someone of theft without evidence.
I don't care if it is the dragon from skyrim or whatever. You simply don't know if the right to use it is bought.

actually i have proof because you simply can't buy this specific asset. also why are you so dead set on defending these developers?

I'm not defending the dev. I defend against blind accusation. And as long as you are not the dev of Starsand and know exactly where the model there comes from and you are not the dev of this game and know where the model comes from you have no "proof" for anything.

The logic is very flawed. Pretty much what you're advocating for is never asking questions. I doubt bethesda sells their dragon assets to other game developers and the devs from starsand wont do the same with their creatures. It's not impossible they did but highly unlikely. Btw you're blindly accusing me of blindly accusing them which is ironic but whatever. If you want to be a good samaritan to people who dont care about you and support laziness and dishonesty in videogames thats your decision. Buy the game if it ever gets released but dont complain if the devs were not only lazy with their assets but also lets say the technical side aswell. because why wouldnt they be. For me It's as simple as not buying or supporting projects and practices i think are not worth it or plain and simple bad. i dont think we're coming to an agreement or that this discussion even needed to happen. People tend to defend stuff when people attack things for no reason. Why are you so hellbent on attacking this developer? lol You were wrong, just say, i was wrong, I'm sorry. It isn't that hard. lol

Some people get their kicks stirring the pot. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The "you can't buy this asset anywhere!!1" didn't age well, at the very least.
