Unable to start game

I just picked up this game because it seems like something I would genuinely enjoy, but I am unfortunately not even able to start playing.

At the main menu, left clicking makes my cursor change from yellow to orange but does not seem to be detected anywhere on the screen. I can right click to try to "quit" the game, but it will not even let me click exit game.

I have tried several different resolutions, all windowed and fullscreen: 1280x800 (preferred), 1280x720, 1920x1080, 2560x1600 and the behavior is the same. (On that note, the settings/"world" icon on the right get pushed off the screen at 16:10 ratios, too.)

i have disabled Steam In-Game and RTSS overlay as a further troubleshooting step.

I even tried to load DXVK to run the game through a vulkan compatibility layer but that crashes immediately, so no luck.

Any help is appreciated!

I have never tried playing with Mouse and Keyboard, but I have two suggestions:
1. If you have a controller, try using that. That's been working well for me with a Logitech controller with Xbox-input.
2. Else, try selecting your file with the arrow keys (or WASD, probably) and Enter on the keyboard.

Also, report the mouse not working in menus in the bug thread ;)

WASD does move the selection around but no keys other than the one that activates the "delete" menu do anything else to advance.

Controller does work but that's obviously not ideal. :)

And yeah the bug thread said to post there or create a new post so I opted for the latter <3

Hey Hyatice sorry this is happening, will look into it asap. For now can you try plugging in your mouse after the game is in the main menu screen? May not work as intended but might fix it

I am having the same issue now, and I had tried plugging in my mouse the main menu screen but still not working. The only time that left click works is getting through the "click any button" page.
