The game presents itself with an irreversible error that does not allow you to continue. Inside the prison, if you don't take the exact path to insert your nose into the hole in the tower and you fall back down the steps, the bottle on the ground no longer allows you to go back up the external steps to help those inside. When you put the bottle back upright, a leg sticks out of the bottle and there is no longer any hold for the rope.
