A must-play for any FFVII fan

I played this after finishing FFVII Remake, and before Rebirth. I would encourage new fans to do the same, as this is the chronological order intended by the devs (thats the whole reason why they remade it in-between remake and rebirth) despite what some diehards say online.

Full price is a bit steep for what feels like a side-project, as the core gameplay feels somewhat clunky (although much better than on the psp iirc), and many missions are there just for filler, which is to be expected of a handheld port. Still very much worth playing, especially for the story. Thanks to this port, I was finally able to finish this game (never went too far on the psp back then), but I was not ready for such an ending tho ;_;

I bought this game before I knew SBI involvement. Not sure how much they ruined the game, but if you're wanting FF7 Remake story then skip this entirely. Not worth the purchase for FF7 remake lore.

Gameplay = It's all cutscenes. 10 Chapters, about 40min per chapter. 15-20 minutes of cutscenes per chapter. You'll spend 10hrs (I did 20 going for 100% completion before I decided not worth it) doing side-missions available in game, and less than 6hr on main story. There's so many cutscenes (even for small interactions like tutorials, opening a door, EVERY conversation you have with an NPC, cutscene EVERY start AND end of combat after ch.3, cutscene for EVERY door/boundary you go through) that I found myself skipping cutscenes, even if some MIGHT be "story" related just out of irritation for being interrupted so frequently! You even get cutscenes MID-COMBAT because of the roulette-limit-break game mechanic!!

Voice actors = Annoyingly bad. Why are all the important characters high-pitched and efeminite? The Main Char (Zack) is the worst voice, and you're stuck listening to him for so many pointless phrases.

Graphics = I know it's been 2 years since I played FF7 Remake, but I feel like the graphics dropped on this game. The animation/body movements seem like they literally tried to take the original FF7 movements and update it with new graphics. It's not "human" movements that people would do. It's weird body posture and leaning.
