At gamescom 2024, we unveiled a gameplay trailer for Koira, the release date, AND a demo! Koira launches on April 17, 2025, and the demo is available right now here on Steam!

Check out the gameplay trailer for Koira to see things like the interactions between spirit and puppy and other woodland creatures, puzzle solving, and using stealth to avoid the relentless hunters.

Demo won't start

When I first tried to start the demo, my antivirus (Avast) was not happy about the exe file. After a moment it said that all's ok, but the game didn't start. I uninstalled and reinstalled the demo, but whenever I click on "play" nothing happens. Btw - is this maybe made with Godot? I had this issue with other Godot games, too, and that without Avast complaining. I play on a HP Zbook, Win 10....

Demo on Steam Deck

Hello everyone, Thank you all for your interest in Koira and for your valuable feedback, which helps us in the game's development. We appreciate your reports about the demo not running on Steam Deck. At the moment, the demo is only playable on PC, but rest assured, Koira belongs on this platform, and we’re working hard to ensure the full game will be Steam Deck compatible at launch on April 17, 2025. If anything changes regarding the demo's compatibility, we’ll keep you updated in the community space....
