Lies of P is a great addition to the Souls-like genre with its own unique twists. One of these is its skill tree, where you can create synergy between active and passive abilities. The world design is very detailed, immersing you in a dark and fascinating setting. The combat system is solid, with clear animations and good feedback. The game feels well-balanced, challenging yet fair, with a focus on precise timing. Battles rely heavily on a counter system with a fairly small but manageable window, adding an extra layer of tension and reward for well-timed reactions. The only downside for me is the dodge—it doesn’t feel as good as it could, which makes certain situations feel a bit clunky.

While Lies of P is relatively linear, the exploration is still very engaging thanks to interesting level design. The environments are thoughtfully interconnected, encouraging curiosity and rewarding those who take the time to explore.

For a first attempt in the genre, Neowiz did a great job. Lies of P brings fresh ideas to the Souls-like genre, making it a very fun experience. I'm very much looking forward to what comes next from this team!

The best non-FromSoft Soulslike there is!
This game is an absolute gem! Unlike many other non-FromSoft Soulslikes, the devs of Lies of P actuallly understand what makes their games so good besides the combat. They nailed the atmosphere, art direction, character designs, enemy design (and variety) and level design in this one. If someone told me that Formsoft created Lies of P, I would actually believe it, since there are so many similarities to their games. Some elements are amlost one-to-one but that doesn't mean it's merely a copycat, it very well manages to do its own things and twists it up a little, to great success.!

If you crave for a mix of Bloodborne and Sekiro, then this is it!
