Night Thastus has Minishoot' Adventures

I give up - where am I supposed to go next?

I've beaten the first dungeon and the desert boss - but I have no idea where the ♥♥♥♥ to go now.

I've been to all 4 corners of the map, but I'm missing what I assume are 3 abilities:

* Setting fire to torches
* Skimming on water
* Breaking weak walls and boulders

Without one of those 3 abilities, I simply cannot proceed. Everything is locked behind one of those. Every time I find something I'm stuck.

I've only been able to access 2 map fragments. One in the starting area, one for the desert.

I also did manage to wake up that giant tree, but again - I lack some ability needed to proceed.

I currently have the following:

* Gun level 3
* Boost
* Dash
* Compass
* Crystal Bullets
* Vengful Talisman
* Restoration Enhancer
* 3 Beetles
* 1 Lore Tablet
* 63 red gems

Please. Tell me what I'm supposed to do. I've been running around in circles for HOURS and I cannot figure it out. Every path is a dead end!

inside the desert dungeon. flagged on your map, you will find what you need to progress.

I got stuck at the same spot. You need to get to the dessert. From the starting spot go south into the woods. Look for a cave somewhere around the spot that has ~10 of those circular trees where a few come alive as enemies. The cave should be around there if memory serves. You should be able to figure it out from there once you get through the cave.

great game, this is its flaw. This issue repeats every few hours where the 'indicators' of where to go next are kind of piss. Check ya map, the next ability is both a lantern and a bomb all-in-one.
