Hey folks! It has been a busy couple of months since the last update and figured I'd take the time to talk about the current festival Mix Universe is taking part in along with how things are going with the next update.

The live stream starts at 12pm CST. Mix Universe's submission will go live at 2:10pm CST in which I create a mix from scratch that is super fun and electro!

The goal for the next update is better workshop support along with smoother mix loading. This has put me down a path where I've investigated a 3rd party cross platform mod integration called mod.io. The biggest issue with steam's workshop is that if I were to release Mix Universe on any other platform, players would NOT be able to get access to things people create and share on steam and vice versa. Mod.io is a solution to this and honestly is really slick. SO moving forward, I'll do my best to make it easy to convert your current workshop items to mod.io and also make it so it's much easier to manage and upload workshop items via the star map. I don't think you will need to setup a new account at all, but you will need to accept their terms of use in order to use the mod.io workshop.

When you zoom in, each mix can be clicked on and edited from there rather easily and uploading to mod.io is a once click operation instead of 3 sub-menus.
With this, I've also tracked down quite a few bugs stopping mixes from playing and have done quite a few optimizations as well to make things run smoother. More on this later.

Pretty much all this month is going to be focused on bug fixing and final integrations of all of this. I am hoping that early december I can release an update, but if that doesn't happen you can expect early January for the next update. I am trying to post at least 1 short video on youtube, instagram, and tiktok a week so you can keep up with progress there as I keep moving forward!
