Yeah that sums it up. Mod support arrived late into the first games cycle, so It's possible they'll continue that trend. One of the developers that worked on the first game also passed away; It could be the case they were the one working on the mod support system.
Though given there's no change in engine or anything drastic like that, it should in theory not be too complicated to implement.
Thought you would like to know that Mod Support finally came if you hadn't been told yet.

I hope to have everything finished by summer. I'm working on getting a new PC as the old one connected to the studio broke down; Of course, I can only speak for my role as the Barista. The others are/were cast by a third-party. Here's hoping they'll also release another mod for the full cast!
