are achievements bugged?

I played through the game twice. On my second run through I game I tried to get "parry master" "dodge roll maniac" and plushie saviour at every opportunity and didn't get any of them. I find it highly unlikely I didn't reach the threshold for any of those in 2 entire playthroughs especially since I farmed parries....
