A game from Poland with lots of kurwas and not a single bober.

In all honesty though, gives a different perspective on RU-PL interactions in late 1890s/1910s, which I approve being a russian player myself.

It's a solid game with a great plot and a rudimentary combat system. The latter is unfortunate since you'll have to complete battles to get enough XP to level up your character. Most XP comes from completing quests, but unfortunately you get no XP for resolving conflicts peacefully, so if you want that little extra, you're doing to have to grind for it.

In Act 3, you will be locked out of many converstations / content based on attribute points. This is weird, because in Act 1 and Act 2 you will be maxed out. Then, Act 3 begins, and you will get 0 extra points and all of the sudden you will not be able to pick most options in conversation. In other words, saving up a bunch of attribute points (i.e. not playing the game as intended, based on information you do not have yet) would have been the correct play. It's pretty annoying to just throw away 20+ hours like this, but I hate games where options are locked based on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this.

An okay game with interesting themes held back by below average execution. The idea of playing an occultist in turn of the century Warsaw, investigating your surroundings through psychometric traces, is immediately intriguing. Unfortunately the core elements are frustrating to engage with. Dialogue is stilted and plagued by non sequiturs, while pacing is awkward with scenarios starting and ending abruptly. Combat is a chore that intrudes on the investigative gameplay. Overall I was left more aware of missed potential than enjoying the experience.
