SCP: Secret Files is a narrative game that blends short stories in a mysterious world.. inspired by the SCP Foundation a collaborative fiction site this is my first delve into this type of games and this is how it was!

I was surprised to see how much lore is behind this, a short search on google and browsing the dedicated wiki allowed me understand and have a basic knowledge about this before i played the game.

Featuring atmosferic horror,tense moments and a focus on narrative SCP let us experience five distinct stories about paranormal anomalies. I was so confused at the beggining and end of each story, each experience was different but with a common goal : to understand the psychological and the effects on those who encounteer them.

I don't want to unveill the stories because thats the main attraction of the game. It felt rather short, but potential for future content exists because of the expansive lore and wiki project,however this kind of game might not be everyone's cup of tea.

It's a cocktail of mixed feelings for me, i like mystery a lot and this kind of stories but it lacked depth and at some point i was wondering what kind of game i'm playing. Maybe thats a scp file too,the game on its own. When i thought this is a horror game before i knew it i was in the middle of a narrative game with paper dragons and cartoonish art style..

In conclussion play this if you looking for something out of ordinary,give it a chance if you like sci-fi and paranormal cases or skip if your expectations are high. This is a indie game after all and with that in mind ,i recommend!
