The pinnacle of A-JRPG progression.

Probably one of the best indie RPGs I've played. Feels like a mix between the playstyle of a 16-bit Ys title (side-scrolling action combat) and some of the gameplay systems of more modern RPGs (upgrade grid, spending time with equipment unlocks new skills, abilities which develop and improve with use). Character art is beautiful and repulsive as needed, and the whole thing plays tight as a whip. Story kept me surprised up until the very end as well, no matter how many times I figured I had a bead on it. Great complete package, cannot recommend enough.
