Save file gone?

I loaded the game up today and everything is wiped, only option to play is new game and there isn't anything in the extras tab. Why was all of my data wiped? I was enjoying the game but this really ruined all my motivation to keep playing :(

Uhm... Well, first thing is checking if they are even there to begin with.

Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Savefiles\

And I would guess ransomware protection or AV software may tamper with that?

After some looking, it turns out my save file IS still there but under a different user profile. I recently changed my windows account to an offline non microsoft account and changed the name. My old save is still named after my old account name and I think thats why its not working. Any clue on how to fix this other than changing my windows name again?

Just rename the save file to match your new user profile

Just rename the save file to match your new user profile

I tried doing that but it didnt work

It should, it's why you're able to download any 100% save file online and rename it to your user profile name. I'd say you're entering it incorrectly.
