[EDIT]: I DO like this game and enjoy playing it 90% of the time. Yet, I DO NOT recommend buying it. I see in other reviews that some mods can greatly improve performance and bugs, so my recommendation would be to "procure" this in a "wallet-friendly" way and patch it with mods. The following is an angry rant of why not to buy it.

It had huge potential. Unfortunately when combat and traversal mechanics work as intended 70% of the time it a sign of trash. Constant stutters is a sign of trash. 150 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seeds is absolute trash. Respect your time, watch the story on youtube.

First game was a revelation. Not flawless by all accounts, however a brilliant, solid, first modern story-oriented SW game in a decade. This sequel has tried to do a good thing, take it as a base and make everything bigger and better. It failed.

I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ who is to blame for this, but if your combat stops working as soon as you throw 2 enemies at the player, you shouldn't be designing combat(I have completed it on grand master regardless). If you can't make a cutscene render at more than 30 fps on 4090, you should be programming calculators to the end of your days.

Anyway, don't buy, don't wishlist. Stay as gar away as you can, this is product of completely unacceptable quality.

Five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis and his friends Cere Junda, Greez Dritus and Merrin have now parted ways. Cal now works with Saw Gerrera and his partisans to continue fighting the Galactic Empire together. At the beginning of the game, Cal allows himself to be captured and taken to Coruscant, where he goes underground to take secret military information from the corrupt senator Raho Sejan on behalf of Saw. Der Spieler bekommt nun auch neue Macht-Fähigkeiten zur Seite gestellt, beispielsweise die Zeit insgesamt zu verlangsamen. Im Vorgänger war dies nur für einzelne Personen oder Objekte möglich. Eine neue Fähigkeit wird unter anderem sein, Gegner kurzfristig für einen kämpfen zu lassen. Neue Gegner werden unter anderem modifizierte Kampfdroiden, Superkampfdroiden und Magna-Wachen der Handelsföderation sein. Ein weiteres Gadget wird ein Zugseil sein, mit dem man sich an Objekte heranziehen können wird. Eine neue Möglichkeit der Fortbewegung wird sein, Tiere und Fahrzeuge als Fortbewegungsmittel zu nutzen. Es werden nun auch neue, laut Hinweisen größere Welten zu bereisen sein. Zudem werden nun auch Schnellreisen möglich, aber laut Design Director Jeff Magers nicht nötig sein, um die Handlung durchzuführen. Schnellreisen werden zwischen, bereits aus dem Vorgänger bekannten, Meditationspunkten möglich sein. Die Mantis wird nun auch an zentraleren Orten auf den bereisbaren Planeten landen.


STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™ bedient mit seinem innovativen Lichtschwert-Kampfsystem die Fantasie, selbst ein Jedi zu werden. Hiebe, Paraden und Ausweichmanöver werden kombiniert mit gewaltigen Macht-Faäigkeiten, die du brauchen wirst, um sämtliche Hindernisse auf deinem Weg zu uberwinden. Das Kampfsystem selbst ist intuitiv, aber die Beherrschung all seiner Nuancen erfordert intensives Training und Übung, da du im Laufe deines Abenteuers neue Kräfte und Fähigkeiten erhältst. Ein Blaster steht dir auch zur Verfügung oder den Kampf auf einem Reittier.

This game would be an easy recommendation for Star Wars fans if not for the technical issues. The combat is well designed, the platforming is fun and satisfying, the story is engaging, the characters are well written, and the puzzles are complex but rarely frustrating. However, this game is embarrassingly poorly optimized. I probably spent 2 hours trying to get the game to a playable state; tinkering with settings, watching Youtube guides, ETC. My GPU, an RTX 2060 Super, would regularly dip down to 30% utilization, making my framerates plummet. This is with most of the settings at low with DLSS set to quality. At those settings, with my GPU, this game should be running smooth as butter. I did finish the main story, in spite of the technical issues, which i guess proves that this game was well designed. However, I cannot in good conciense recommend this game given the downright inexcusable optimization.

TLDR; This game would be amazing if it didn't run about as well as Barbra Gordon post Killing Joke.

TLDR, THE GAME IS STILL NOT FIXED, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME since the company has still not bothered fixing it.

...its ridiculous...I just want to jump with the "E" key and have the game work....

My personal reason this game is UNPLAYABLE:
-there are keybinding bugs that make the game literally unplayable UNLESS:

1) You ONLY use the default keybindings and DO NOT rebind any buttons/keys.
I play with mouse and keyboard and the default binding for JUMP is SPACE BAR.
That is insane to me for a souls-like game where one of your main priorities in combat is to dodge/roll/evade to avoid incoming damage so I use space bar for that.

2) You mod the game, changing the default keybindings to whatever you desire and NEVER change them in the actual game menu because it doesn't work properly.

(I don't see this as a reasonable solution but apparently it is "possible" but I've requested and refund and if I don't get one then I'll get my tech guy to fix the default settings...until then I'm just not playing this game...)

My Experience with this game:
I was LOVING this game after just beating fallen order but then about an hour or 2 into the game I hit a literal wall, the wall requires you to double jump off of it but if you've rebound jump to anything other than space bar...you just stick to the wall and cannot proceed unless you rebind jump to space bar...which is absolute trash for a souls-like game because to dodge/roll with space bar just feels WAAAAY better and I believe is mandatory for high difficulty play. (even on story mode this would just feel so bad, you are not gonna have a better time by jumping during combat...)
Oh, also it won't let you jump off of wall runs either so you're stuck running on the wall until you fall off and I saw a guy on youtube trying to use the droid attack ability and it didn't work with re-bound buttons either...I've read a bunch of referances to the blaster shooting stance not working either, I'm sure there are other examples those are just what I found in my researching this problem last night.

Had to refund.

So I got this game and I thought nah people are wrong just bad pc. I was sure it would run on my 4080 and the 7800x3d cpu, I tried... I even threw in 64gb of ram for the hell of it, and popped it on a m.2 ssd from samsung.

Alas my PC is a bag of sh!t and I must upgrade it to run this game.

Honestly, was really looking forward to the story on this game since Disney seems to be screwing everything up, but despite being out for over a year, this game is still an unoptimized trash heap. Sure, the combat is fun, but for some reason, the game keeps crashing during cutscenes, and I'm even using Let the Performance be with you (an optimization mod), but there's only so much the community can do for a game before they pretty much have to rebuild it from the ground up. Cmon EA, Respawn. Is this seriously the future of gaming??? Garbage piles of garbage code that no modern system can run? Thank god I only got screwed out of 32 bucks, cause of the sale. And to think EA wants $70 bucks for something that doesn't work. The future of AAA games is Indie devs.
If you're an Indie Dev studio reading this, resist the corporate corruption and continue to make amazing games that are worth every penny. And to the AAA studio PR manager reading this, get to work on this dumpster fire that's been raging for over a year.

It's already been a year since its release and the game is still not optimized, it takes about 10 minutes to launch, which is complete nonsense. And this is the second time that saves have disappeared, 60-70 minutes of game time.

1. When I just purchased it, downloaded, then clicked PLAY, it opens EA Trash App annd it says to me: YOU DON"T OWN THIS ITEM GET LOST. I closed EA Trash App and run game again - same message from EA app!! What a nonsense. I'm purchasing games in STEAM because i don't want to use any other trash launchers, like EA Trash app. After some 3-5 times of my trys and googling this situtaion i finally manage to run the game omg.
2. But from here next big problem occurs - Each time game lauches, I already played some progress, it anyway telling me this: " some files needs to be compiled for performance.. please wait, every time I launch it!
3. After this stupid message I faced with another situation = now I have to accept some privacy policy, which I ALREADY accepted 3 times, the same trash again and again.
4. So bye, I;ll never buy any games from EA or which using EA trash app
