Today’s update for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales contains various optimizations and fixes. We’ve made CPU performance improvements for ray-tracing, and made performance and stability improvements for ray-tracing on AMD GPUs.

Intel Xe Super Sampling has been updated to version 1.2, with support for dynamic resolution scaling. This update also tweaks the launcher interface to fit better on low resolutions or high DPI scaling screens. See the patch notes below for more details on changes in this update.

Hey everyone,

Today we are releasing an update for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales with improved Bluetooth support for Sony PlayStation DualShock and DualSense controllers. Adaptive trigger feedback on DualSense controllers is now available when using Steam Input. To use the full range of DualSense features, including the controller speaker and haptic feedback, a wired USB connection is required.

This update also finetunes optimizations for some Intel CPUs and we have updated the game to use Intel Xe Super Sampling version 1.1.

This update for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales contains various optimizations and fixes, based on player feedback. We have made changes to improve CPU performance on Intel 11th generation and older processors, with 8 cores or more. This mainly affects Intel Core i9 processors from the 9th, 10th and 11th generation. We have also made changes to how the game uses the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X processors, to improve performance on systems with these CPUs.

This patch also includes a fix for a buffer overflow issue to address crashes to desktop that could occur for some players on Windows 11 systems after loading a save game or retrying a challenge. We have also fixed several graphical issues that could occur on AMD GPUs and a bug that could cause the mission marker for the Supply Theft crime mission to disappear under certain circumstances.

A new patch for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is now live. This update holds dozens of fixes and improvements. We addressed a bug that resulted in unintended air horn sounds being audible for some players and fixed a bug that caused some audio effects to be absent from specific cutscenes.

Furthermore, the game menu now has an option to skip Fast Travel animations, some missing ray-traced reflections on glass surfaces have been added and multiple visual fixes to ray-traced reflections and shadows have been implemented. The game now also checks for the NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver for Miles Morales and warns if it is not installed.

In this patch we also addressed the bug that caused players having to press the Gadget wheel button twice to open it the first time when using a gamepad. Various fixes were made to UI elements, for example the waveform that is shown during audio calls now scales correctly on ultrawide screens.

When booting the game for the first time, or after updating your GPU driver, the game will load pipelines and cache shaders in the background. Depending on your system specifications, this process can take a while and a black screen will be shown. With this update we have improved this process by assigning more CPU power to make it faster and show the loading icon for a longer period.

Thanks for playing Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales! We are grateful for all the positive feedback we have received since launching the game last Friday. This first patch consists of multiple fixes, optimizations and stability improvements.

We made some changes to cutscenes to improve performance and match the lighting of the original game. In our own testing we see a performance uplift in cutscenes of 7% in average frame rate on a system with the recommended specifications using the Medium graphics preset.

This hotfix addresses crashes that could occur for some players in boss fights when using venom powers, and in the final scene of the game. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and would like to thank the players that reported this issue and helped us out confirming the fix.
