PC fixes now live (All Platforms)

Advanced Settings Placement

Advanced graphics settings have been moved to the bottom of the list for better visibility.

Updated Translations (Steam Only)

Improved Chinese translations have been added to the game.

DLSS and Streamline Updates

Fixed crashes when using Windows + D or Alt + Tab.
Resolved crashes occurring when the game is left idle.
Stuttering Improvements (Windows Store / Game Pass)
Addressed stuttering issues during gameplay.

PlayStation 5 Controller Support

DualSense controllers are now supported across all PC platforms.

Updated Credits

The game credits have been updated.

Subtitle Fixes

Fixed issues where subtitles were missing or lacked drop shadows.

Powder and Steel Quest Fixes

Improved visibility for the “Defeat the enemy” quest step.
Added an additional marker for Jung after defeating the revenant.
Fixed an issue preventing progression after defeating Rammuha.

Resolution Settings

Players can now adjust their resolution in both fullscreen and borderless modes.

It is described as a light God of War meets Soulslite
Lovely little 24 hour one shot game.
I didn't get all achievements, but I stopped when I'd had enough.
People moan about the length, but games don't have to be hundreds of hour long, especially when there are so many to play.
Combat is fluid and there is enough variety in weapons, abilities and enemies.
The story isn't anything massively new, but the setting is unique. It is engaging and you care about the characters.
They also added a fun little minigame called sabo. Not quite Gwent but neat enough to pass some time.

Sappers! We have been hard at work fixing some issues that have been reported since our launch.

This list is not exhaustive, but some of the problems that we are looking to fix are:

Crashes on Windows PC when using Win+D
NVIDIA Reflex causing stuttering on Windows PC
PlayStation controller compatibility for PC
Various progression blockers covering all platforms
HDR issues on the Xbox platform
Making the Advanced Settings section more clear within graphics options
Translation issues (incorrect languages being shown)

We will communicate a date for this patch as soon as we can.

I was pleasantly surprised by their previous game, Ashen. Flintlock offers way more engaging combat with the axe and guns combo, verticality and platforming centered around in air maneuvering, and world interactions, at the expense of some of the pure, drippingly dark atmosphere of Ashen's dungeon crawling. There are some bits that seemingly don't gel as nicely as one might hope, the setting is dope, trench warfare against the undead and some really nice locales and people that aren't standard fantasy fare absolutely rocks, but the storytelling around the setting is lacking.

Overall it's just fun. It's a game that punches above its weight class, I sunk 22 hours into the game and the brevity is honestly refreshing. Would love to see further refinement of both the setting and mechanics!

Was interested in the world and art style but the combat in this game just isn't fun for me. Despite going for a faux-bloodborne style of promoting agression and interrupting attacks using your pistol, the combat just feels to inaccurate and floaty to my liking and between that and a very vague story, there just wasn't a reason to continue on.

Why Is Nobody Playing?

I was interested in buying a new adventure game and thought maybe I'd try this one, but then I saw that nobody was playing it despite its recent release. Having watched the trailers I'd say that it looks like a decent, mediocre good time. Average along the lines of a Piranha Bytes adventure game. I wouldn't expect it to be super popular, but not even having enough players to register a player count on the game's community page is just embarrassing. Not just embarrassing, but obviously indicative of deepe...

I saw a lot of chatter about this game being review bombed. How is that so? Steam shows around 648 peak players and 123 reviews with mostly positive. That does not look like review bombing to me. Looks like any criticism is met with hostility. Am I missing something?...
