Is there aiming down sights?
Looked at all the screenshots and watched the trailer and noticed that they do have reflex sights etc. But all the shooting is was shown with them hip firing. Is it gonna play old school style, like Black Mesa?

We don’t have ADS in the game, and we don’t currently plan to add it as a feature. We want players to have the whole picture and we want to keep the controls as intuitive as possible. Not having ADS or advanced combat stances helps us get to these goals, AND lets players focus on their teamplay and tactics. Lots of great games incorporate ADS to add to the immersion, but we wanted to reference games like Counter-Strike and Left 4 Dead that are “simple on the surface, complex under the hood”

definitely interesting to have a tactical shooter not include genre standard features. But, CC know what theyre doing. And the game from images and trailers definitely looks like its leaning more into arcade than pure realism. Im not expecting leaning or anything like that, at the very least i wanna breach and clear which looks like what is available..

one question though, will there be rappelling? as in, can you enter through a multi-story window?

This is an interesting decision, i hope it doesn't result in situations where enemies are even slighty distant and are next to impossible to hit due to lacking ADS.

This is great news!

We can be sure that won't happen. After all, it's not the case in CS or L4D. Plus, classic tactical shooters let you shoot with full accuracy without ADS.

It was only after ADS became a "genre-standard feature" that we see guns shooting all over the place - that was the death of the tactical shooter.
