One of the things the stream reminds me is that I would need to watch it on yt if I want subtitles.
Another is that the devs are used to thinking of/ see the Catalina as a very bright and clean ship. While my Catalina is a ship that has just lost a war, is covered in soot and wreckage, and is so broken that the program graphics are in a state of stable collapse. JLO has stupidly high RAM demands.
We have very different views on how this game runs. I'm trying to build the Catastrophe up to a point where the crew's needs are met, like more power, water, bunkrooms, etc. And the devs are like "look at how white and smooth-rendered the ship is right out of the box."
Me: I took it down to yellow alert and that gave the crew enough time to kill three people from a fire.
Devs: I'm just gonna assume you're not making enough corn.
This seems to be a great step in the right direction.
If the crew now learns to not step blindly into a vacuum, i am happy.
I'm especially looking forward to the whole "you can sort out where your resources are stored", because I had a good chuckle out of "no longer will someone's lunch be in the medigel storage". I really had a good laugh out of the times ammunition was stored nearby the kitchen (when there were storage rooms closer to the cannons) or food was in the storage room I meant for the sickbay's use.
I also like that now I know why on earth I'd get reports people are dying of thirst when there's a vending machine right there: the person who "reserved" the machine must've been one of those who would just suddenly freeze in place.
