Does anyone have a solution to the issue where your controllers don't work in game but they work everywhere else, I cant get past the calibration phase of the game and I'd really like to enjoy the game

Every time I get to the pirate AI in a solo game they just back up and stop moving. It makes every solo game with pirate end in a softlock. Is this a know bug, just a me thing, or is this somthing new?

I just got the game, booted up for the first time and in the headset, the game says it’s loading but the game is running on my monitor (splash logos and everything) then it’s stuck on “calibration” with the music running and the headset still says “loading game.” Any suggestions?...
