Will there be any additions to the game?
Please tell me, will the game be supplemented with anything else in the near future? On the store page in the game development plan it is written about “animal breeding”, will this be implemented?

Hey there!

Sorry, we forgot to update this picture with the game development plan for all the languages. We'll do it asap.

Animal husbandry is unlikely to be added in the future since it would be quite difficult to implement technically.

The game is finished and we'll continue to support it, but expanding in terms of content seems unlikely.

Hello 'Kate4ka1990' ,

Unfortunately further Balancing the game, Finishing the game, and/or even Expanding the game seems unlikely..

Why? — Because the STEAM Marketplace Environment promotes mediocracy in gaming, NOT excellence in gaming (similar to childhood sports nowadays ... win or lose, everyone gets a trophy).

EARLY ACCESS IS KILLING INDIE GAMES

"According to Steam's official data, as of March 2023, there are currently over 15,000 games available on Early Access. However, the success rate of Early Access games is not encouraging, as only around 6% of Early Access games are actually released as full games. This indicates that the majority of Early Access games fail to meet the expectations of players." - by Steve Fowler PhD

On July 1st (on Discord), I asked the game's Developers "When will Survival: Fountain of Youth allow 3rd Party Modding and/or STEAM Workshop Support?"

This was the Developer's response: "I can give a simple and quick answer now and it would be - we are researching. Adding mod support could be a relatively big feature, so we want to check all possible opportunities of what we can do from our side. So it is not yes or no, it is we'll see what we can do about it and we will announce it as soon as there is anything to say."

'Kate4ka1990' if you are unaware: Game Modding can benefit both Players and Developers by extending a game's replay value — Mods can add depth to a game, making it more interesting and extending its lifespan — For example, mods can add new areas, game-play systems, animations, a video game economy, and improved graphics — Mods can help players debug, manage, and run games more smoothly — Mods can also fix critical errors in a game's code, etc.., etc..

——

The problem is not only the Developer, but also the Marketplace Environment that STEAM controls..

Good Luck & Regards
So sick of early access, it's like they have a licence to steal our money in a lot of cases. I'm not referring to this game, but EA in general.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

It is sad. Thanks for the answer.

Hello 'Gracie Mae' ,

Absolutely Correct❗

STEAM Early Access Marketplace Environment has evolved into an ungoverned & unregulated SCAM!

• There are more than 15,000 Early Access games on STEAM - (GameAnalytics 2023)

• On average more than 90% of all STEAM Early Access games FAIL, primarily due to poor-quality - (GameAnalytics 2023)

In other words, STEAM Early Access Marketplace Environment has become a multi-billion-dollar, Statistically Guaranteed 'LOSE-LOSE' for the unsuspecting Customer, and his or her money❗

A word to the wise..

Good Luck & Regards

It was 90% in 2016, 50% in 2019 and 75% in 2022. And they didn't "Fail".
They didn't have a 1.0 release until 2022 and the writer predicts that they will never have a 1.0 release.

<<Zukowski pointed out that 90% of games that had an EA launch in 2016 never made it to version 1.0. The situation has gotten significantly better, but the abandon rate is still quite high.>>

What a waste...so much potential with this game. it's good, but I think it could be much, much better if it was bigger and there was more to do. You get so many skill books in the last area and then the game ends....so you have them for nothing. What a wasted potential.
Based on the response of the Publisher, as well as the language of the EULA itself, maybe they are planning to focus on Consoles?
making $$ is the sniff of the moment ;) it's the economy, stupid!

So next big thing is to port the Game to new customers, with not so much technical invenstment. After this maybe they make a other game to grew bigger. So maybe in 5-10years, a new Fountain of Youth (2) or or a FoY-like game will come out...

That may happen but if it does I don't want it to be with this crew of devs. I saw some really good things in the game and I can say that's probably the work of probably only a few devs the rest including management were just irresponsible and treated the game badly and as a result they main player base was early access and it's pretty much dead on release. The game has some really good things going for it and I would love to see it in the hands of a team that actually respect the game and the players I think they could do some amazing things with it. As could have the original team.

I dont mind that honestly. The game is 1.0 after all. I'm happy to play through the game once, complete it, and uninstall it. Not every game needs update after update or DLC after DLC.

Now the Devs are no doubt planning whatever their next thing is.
