Sorry for the delay - I was just double checking something.

I think the best way forward for your at this point is that you can turn it off.

Launch the main Steam window (not while in a game), and click on "Steam" located in the upper left corner. Next, select "Settings" and navigate to the "IN-GAME" section.

Just spoke to the AF team and this will be fixed in the next patch.
