figured out how to fix the fatal error on the dam mission!
1)go to desktop mode. 2) go to system settings. 3)go to
' about system." 4) show more information. 5) click on OpenGL(EGL). 6) run game! "cut scene might be a little hesitant to start but it def worked"

install GE-proton, use it for compatibility. Dam and onwards there is something badly broken related to video playing, ge-proton prevents fatal crashing, instead showing these as black screen spots.
My guess on crashing is that videos get erroneous loading not supported by hardware
