Either way: I admit I'm an older gamer, my reflexes aren't what they used to be; and I've enjoyed the game up to this point, dying a lot, but figuring out what to do after a few tries per death, and (more importantly) SEEING what I did wrong -- didn't make it QUITE high enough to the ledge, timing a jump a LITTLE bit wrong to see the ramp sail away from me, etc. But with Kolbich, there are no indications of whether I'm close to the goal or not: there's no health bar (which I can understand for purposes of "realism"), but there's also no visual indication of being 50% wounded, for example, or any other indication.
It would be NICE (though, I get it, maybe not worth the effort at this point, the game is pretty good as is) to have SOME indication that the player is making progress against a boss, even something as simple as a different sprite showing some of Kolbich's tubes broken, his "armor" with a crack, etc. Let the player know that they ARE making progress.
-- As I said, I actually DID enjoy the game up to this point, it's very cute and sci-fi and clever, and hopefully I can get Kolbich before you even do a patch, but just a thought for the future :)
Brilliant, it worked. Seems easy NOW, in retrospect, thanks to your tip :) Thanks again!
yes, some indicator would be nice to know if i am 1 hit away or 5 from killing him. but since it was too late to continue (and i could wait one more time for the intro to play), i gave up for now. will definitely continue with it.
@Anton i also broke that sequence a bit. when i enter the room, it shows a texture and not the boss anymore. the boss only shows again after the AI is done talking. worked fine before, but i went back into a different area, then returned to the boss. since then he is gone at the start.

I know the feeling, I enjoyed the game up until the next boss fight (the one where he comes down the elevator), and after having died over and over again, I just ... quit. So many games, so little time! :)
