Dumb. Just dumb. Dumb plot, dumb characters, dumb story. A chore to get through. Final boss is infuriatingly difficult and janky. Michael Bay-ass explosions everywhere. Goofy symphonic music blaring everywhere. The graphics are nice, but Jesus Christ, this game has the most overused, cliche-ridden YEAH BRO EDGELORD WITH A SMOKEY VOICE AMERICA IS THE BEST pisspoor excuse of a story ever written, and it wasn't even satisfying to end it. Crysis 2 was the only one I enjoyed my time with.

Very short but the best of the trilogy. The combat bow and alien weapons are really fun.

The first time I dove into Crysis 3 Remastered, I was instantly captivated by the breathtaking visuals and the richly detailed environments. As I stepped into the role of Prophet once again, the post-apocalyptic New York City—now a vibrant jungle overrun by nature—took my breath away. The enhanced graphics brought every aspect of the world to life, with stunning lighting effects and meticulously crafted textures that made me feel like I was truly in a living, breathing ecosystem.

Gameplay in Crysis 3 remains as exhilarating as ever. The nanosuit's abilities provide a unique blend of tactics, allowing me to approach combat situations in various ways. I could go for a stealthy approach, using the cloak to navigate past enemies, or engage in full-on action with powerful weapons and abilities. Each encounter felt fresh and dynamic, especially with the variety of enemies and environments that kept me on my toes.

The storyline is engaging, weaving together themes of survival, betrayal, and the struggle against both the alien Ceph and human adversaries. The narrative pulled me in, and I found myself invested in Prophet’s journey and the fate of humanity. The voice acting and cutscenes added depth to the story, making the emotional stakes feel real.

What really impressed me about the remaster was how well it enhanced the original experience. The updated graphics, coupled with improved frame rates and smooth animations, made everything feel more fluid. I often paused to admire the lush environments, whether it was the sprawling rooftops engulfed in vines or the stunning reflections in the water.

However, I did encounter a few minor bugs during my playthrough, which can happen in any remaster. While they were not game-breaking, they were noticeable at times.

In summary, Crysis 3 Remastered is a stunning revitalization of a classic title. Crysis 3 Remastered is a worthwhile upgrade to the original 2013 version with some minor quality of life improvements and visual upgrades. Like Crysis 2 before it, Crysis 3 did not necessarily need a remaster, but it does play better on modern systems esp. if you haven’t played it before.
Assuming you got/get this as part of the Crysis Remastered bundle and have played the prior 2 games, it is worth your time & and money to finish the trilogy.
As a fan of the series, it was a nice excuse to play it again after over 14 years and finally get ALL of the achievements this go around.
-Very glad to see Psycho (a personal favorite video game character of mine) make a prominent return here to the game series in all of his visual glory. -
