Disclaimer: MY personal view on this game and what bugs me and what not, yours might vary.

Good
- Accessibility: basically, playable on a toaster. My hardware is from 2012 and works good on low/medium settings. And nicely working with keyboard, too (tried it first in 2015, was horrible, back in 2020 it was a pleasure to drive. Now with a wheel it’s a whole other level anyway.)
- Actuality: devs keep working on and update the game quite regularly. Also updating old cars to newest standards like tire models (V5, V6 already announced). Tracks get the newest visuals (like curbs etc.) regularly as well.
- Pricing model (for new players!): ~100€ for all content at date of purchase. Standard price for games these days (although those games then also have pricy DLCs additionally). Pricing is fair. Many more smaller packs are available, too to get into the game. ALSO sidenote, you only need one livery of a car and the track to be allowed on a multiplayer server, not every single piece of content used there.
- Content: great variety of cars and tracks. Official DTM, ADAC GT Masters and WTCC/WTCR content. From modern GT2 and GT3 over classics like Formula 3, obscure things like Mustang Mach-E, modern electric Cupras and back to old machinery like Group 5. Track wise, many well-known circuits are found here, but also unknown gems like Chinese or Scandinavian ones. Just overall amazing.
- Single player AI: AI is great. If you have found the right level for your chosen combo or understood how adaptive AI works, they are really nice to race against. Thanks to ai selector, even multiclass is possible and driving against cars you don’t own.
- Sound: great soundscape. Cars sound how I would expect and track side noise is fine too (apart from the screaming “INDY LIGHT SERIES PRESENTED BY COOPER TIRES” dude at Watkins Glen :D )

Neutral
- Kind of false advertisement: titled as f2p, although basically a demo. You get 13 free cars and 5 free tracks and can use all game modes. Rest is paid.
- Communication: got better since 2020 (when I started) but still lacking. The newest update (15.10.2024) was only announced in an article on a third-party website. Most comms goes through discord. But sometimes also still forum.
- UI: you see that it’s old (and making you blind in main menu). Dark UI part 1 (setup screens, options menu, etc) is already there, part 2 still missing.
- HUD/car dashes: old looking HUD, mostly fake car dashes (due to ancient language), but they do their job of providing data. Although most people rely on third party HUDs, I don’t really care for how they look, as long as the game gives me the data I need while driving.
- Graphics: same here. I’m here for the driving, not how lovely a wind turbine is rotating or how green the grass is (it’s always greener on the other side anyway :P ). Graphics got a huge boost with the September 2024 update and the game looks really great now for one being over 10 years old.
- VRP: the in-game currency. Usually cheaper paying that way, but difficult to even get to know it exists and that it is sold in a different store, not in-game (thanks, steam…).
- Ranked: ehm… exists. Was way better during covid and “next big step” with championships was a letdown, personally. So can only become better :D I get my fix from community leagues anyway (featuring more content than most players ever drive).
- Single player: race day and championship mode lack quite some features that already exist in multiplayer. But here is hoping to get changes when dark UI part 2 arrives.
Track evolution: no changing temperatures, no rain, no night. Would be nice to have, but don’t really care.
- Always online: has its pros and cons. Thankfully, the game servers got so much more stable that basically only during maintenance, the game isn’t playable.

Bad
- Pricing model (for old players!): Due to the fact that packs can only be bought once, old players who already have the premium pack might find themselves in a situation over time where a new account and buying premium again is cheaper than stocking up all the new/missing content.

I think that this is my first bad review of a game ever
