Did it fix something?

Iv'e had this game for quite a while but haven't played much of it. I decided to go ahead and try and download and play it again after a long time of it being uninstalled, but when I tried starting it up, the resolution of my screen tanked hard and it's stuck on an endless load loop and just won't start. The only way to stop the program is buy restarting my computer. Anyone know what the cause is or how to get it to start?...

This Steam version of the game are broken. The audio language are only in UK ! No tips nothing work. ( Change the name of the language pack etc ) I just buy the Ubisoft Version in promotion and its ok for all audio language selection. Really steam ...
