The Definitive Edition of Stronghold sold more than 100 000 copies less than 72 hours after release, so I imagine now, a year later, it made even more money

It's likely they'll be doing Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition next after this one was so successful, and as far as I know they are working on a new Stronghold game in Unreal Engine 5 for a while now, so that's coming too, and if those turn out successful too then we'll be getting plenty of Stronghold in the future (Crusader DE will be a hit 100%, I'm sure)
I figured they made a stack off of this, I wonder how much that covered project debt.
Only 1 developer was working on the DE if I remember correctly, so they made quite the profit of the project
I think the next 3D will turn out better because they've seen how high in demand these classics are now, they might heavily model the next 3D one after the originals now
As for 3D, they have been able to do it for years, they just execute it poorly every time. I don't even understand how.
I believe it was on the the Q&A videos, it should still be on YouTube

Text passage:
I'm with you on this one. I'm already a fan of the AOE series, and I'm very impressed by the remaster of Stronghold. It's a little more dynamic, somewhat more like ants duking it out, but the creative side of Stronghold appeals to me more strongly. I don't know if its the more elaborate buildings, or the p*** easy map editor, but I feel more drawn to Stronghold.
