We are all very excited to present to you an amazing new feature for the game:

Vampire Hunters is all about creating the craziest builds to mow down the undead, and finding that absurd combination of weapons, constellations, characters, relics, artifacts, maps and so on IS SUPER SATISFYING!!

To help you find those incredible builds, and enjoy the awesome ways to play the game even more (and, of course, FIGHT TO THE DEATH FOR THE LEADERBOARD RANKS), we are introducing the Weekly Challenge Runs!

Whaaaat are Weekly Challenge Runs, you ask?
Weekly Challenge Runs is where you compete for the best rank in a limited-time CRAZY challenge!
Starting Friday 10am PST, and you have until Monday 10am PST to do you the best you can!
The top players will be presented for all the Brotherhood to see!
You can access the current challenge right from the Main Menu screen in Survivors Mode. If you don't have the requirements, remember to check out the Achievements menu to unlock them!

Get the best score in the Corrupted Necropolis using (at least) the Camelopardalis, Chameleon and Horologium constellations.

This has been an incredible week for us!
We've been having a blast reading all your reviews and comments, watching all the videos and talking with you on our Discord[discord.com].

And most important, we're SUPER happy you have been enjoying the game!!
The entire team has poured their hearts, souls and bad jokes in the game during the entire development, and specially during the Early Access, where we learned a lot from you hunters.
And reaching more than 200 recent reviews, with a 95% OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE RATING has been nothing short of incredibly awesome!!

But the hard work doesn't end here!
We're releasing a small update fixing the most common issues you have been reporting. Keep 'em coming and we'll keep improving the game.

• Fixed revive issue where you would not revive even when having remaining revives! It was caused by upgrading a Phoenix or not reaching the Ankh of Osiris' 500 kills with another source of revive active.
  
• Fixed the Little Big Hunter achievement (Finish a map while being at level 1, using manual level up) not triggering if you collected chests.
  
• Fixed reload sound not stopping when Death Reload made you reload (most notable on the Pirate Cannon).
  
• Improved texts to make it more clear that the things that revive you revive you (and count towards the I'm Inevitable achievement)
  
• Fixed The Man Of The Prophecy achievement (it was unlocking with any character not just Berserker).
  
• Fixed the PARKOUR! achievement (it requires finishing Temple of the Night but was unlocking when getting to 25 minutes).
  
• "Press LEFT SHIFT to run" in the Batilla sequence (Classic Mode) now shows up as Left Stick depending on the input device.

Besides more fixes, we have a nice surprise coming for you at the end of the week. Keep an eye out... it's ABSURD!!

As you may know, with your incredible help we have been updating Vampire Hunters A LOT ever since the Early Access launch. We experimented with several changes and listened to a lot of feedback.
The 1.0 version gives you MUCH more of the things you liked the most about the game! Pretty much doubling the game's content!

We worked HARD on it!
It's by FAR, the best version of Vampire Hunters, and way better than we could have imagined when we started making it!

There are so many changes, that we could not list them all here.
So if you want more details on what's new and what's changed, you can head on over to our Discord[discord.com] and read a more complete change list there.

But here is the summary of all the great new stuff in store for you:

• Temple of the Night: The Desert People have fled from Necropolis and built a Wall to defend against the evil that corrupted their former home. Hunter, the Underworld Army did not take their defeat in Necropolis well and is attacking their new fortress using the Iron Maidens. You need to seal them again...
  
• Karzordoom: Evil lingers deep in the ancient Mine of the Dwarves. Demonic creatures consumed what once was a place of wealth and powerful Runes. Hunter, your mission is to hold off for 30 minutes and regain control over the ancient magic surrounding the Runes.
  
• Path of the Rising Sun: Winter is over and the rising heat of summer is granting unlimited power to the hellish creatures. Villagers living among the clan of oni hunters are under attack. Hunter, your mission is to hold off for 30 minutes and send the Undead Ronin back to where they came from.
  
• Dracula's Cave: You have successfully infiltrated Dracula's Castle using a secret path through the Sewers, leading to the Great Hall and an epic battle against the Titan. After defeating the dearest of Dracula's minions, you have located his Cave. Hunter, your mission is to defeat Dracula once and for all.

• Reaper: Summoned by the Brotherhood in times of difficulty, he fights alongside them to maintain balance between the worlds. You can level up quickly by converting blood into souls and harvesting them all across the map.
  
• Engineer: He found refuge in the Brotherhood after his city was put to the torch, becoming responsible for the significant technological advancement of their military power. You have high area control with his turrets and are able to turn scrap into a shield and ammo.
  
• ???: Comedy movies are his thing, but sometimes he decides to show the world the meaning of power.

• Starcaller: Fires an energy sphere that marks the target. After 1 second, a star falls from the sky and hits the marked target.
  
• Boulder: Throws a large boulder dealing massive damage. When hitting an enemy, it crumbles into small stones that hit the entire area.
  
• Proton Buster: A weapon that fires a constant proton beam.
  
• Tombstoner: Fires bone fragments with short range and wide spread.
  
• Soulstormer: Shoots cursed souls that fly towards the nearest enemy. Upon hitting an enemy, it gathers all nearby souls for you.
  
• Sledgenator (Secondary): Fires a demolition sledgehammer attached to a chain, performing a horizontal arc attack.
  
• Mjolnir (Secondary): Throws a Mjolnir in an arc. When it lands, it deals area damage and electrifies the surroundings as long as it remains there. You can press the button again to recall it, dealing damage to enemies in its path.
  
• Gale Fan (Secondary): Unleashes a powerful gust of wind that pushes enemies far away.
  
• Familiar: Bat (Passive): Emits a sonic wave in an arc ahead, causing damage and confusion to all enemies hit.
  
• Fighter Spirit (Passive): When enemies approach from the front, executes a sequence of punches.

You should enjoy playing with whatever weapon you want. To this effect, the 1.0 release comes with a lot of balancing improvements. Some builds that were considered unplayable, will now provide awesome and super fun options for you.

We have also buffed several secondary and passive weapons like: Sticky Bomb, Batbat, Dragon Scale Whip, Death Ray, Chainsaw, SAM Gun, Shrinknator, Volcannon, Orb, Blessed Lightning, Raven, Rat, Frog.

• Vulpecula: All Vanguard Sumotoris lose their shields.
  
• Corona Australis: Start with 14 random Level V weapons. Upon taking damage, lose one weapon. Only relics appear in the shop.
  
• Crater: HP Potions become Strength Potions, increasing your Damage by 200% for 30 seconds.
  
• Libra: Every 30 seconds, your weapons alternate with Bubble Blasters Level I. While using your normal weapons, you receive +200% Damage. While using the Bubble Blasters, your level up and collected chests will stack to use later.
  
• Eridanus: Enemies become 50% faster.
  
• Hercules: After finishing a stage, the next one begins immediately, and you retain your build, level, and score. Enemies become stronger on the next stage (more HP, damage and speed).

• Death's Roulette: You have a 20% chance of killing a normal monster in one hit and 10% chance of killing an elite in one hit.
  
• Potion of Doom: Kill a random boss every time you collect a health potion.
  
• Manuscripts of Millennial Wisdom: Every minute your Special Ability changes randomly.
  
• Elemental Overcharge: Freeze and burn are twice as effective.
  
• Collector's Mater Key: Elites have a chance to drop a boss chest.
  
• One Ton Enchanted: +20% Critical Damage.
  
• Camper Perch: You deal 2x more damage when shooting an enemy in the back.
  
• Fangs of the Patriarch: For each weapon with Bleed that you have, increase the duration of your Blood ability.
  
• Ice Rune: After using your Special Ability, leaves a freezing rune in the place you were. It explodes, freezing the surrounding enemies.

• The Lava Thing (boss): Molten fury in a monstrous form.
  
• Warden of the Ankrahdoom (boss): Collect his pieces and watch chaos unfold.
  
• Jack Cannon Man (elite): And that was without even a single drop of rum.
  
• Bes (elite): Do not google it.
  
• Banshee (elite): Her scream is the last thing you'll hear
  
• Minotaur: He’s got a-maze-ing horns.
  
• Goblin: Small, sneaky, and up to no good.
  
• Corrupted Dwarf Miner: Once dug for gold, now digs for souls.
  
• Troll: Lives under a bridge and inside your internet comments.
  
• Orc: Green skin, mean demeanor.
  
• Crypt Shambler: Creeping out of the crypt and into your nightmares.
  
• Desert Cyclops: One eye, endless sandstorms.
  
• Lizard Man: Cold-blooded, but always fired up.

Once you unlock the last character, you'll unlock new permanent upgrades. You'll also increase the maximum capacity of some of your permanent upgrades. Those upgrades are shared among all the characters.

• Several improvements and fixes throughout the entire game!
  
• Leaderboard reset so all players compete again for the ranks!
  
• SteamDeck improvements and 'Verified' seal!
  
• Trading Cards, Point Shop Items and other Steam Community Items!

Each one of the new characters will come with a unique skill tree. In the skill trees you'll find upgrades, artifacts and skills.

• Clone: Press shift to summon a clone that lasts for 10 seconds. Press shift again to swap places with it.
  
• Blood Tempo: You control your heartbeats to the point of distorting the time of the weak of mind. For 20 seconds, all normal monsters stay still.
  
• Evocation Portal: Press shift to place a summoning portal that lasts for 30 seconds. You'll summon creatures like Legion, Blood Imp, Skeleton Archer and Frost Skull to fight for you.
  
• Horn of the Wicked: Start the run by choosing a Unique relic.
  
• Light Feet: You will hover in the air while jumping or falling. You can also jump higher.
  
• Soul Drain: Draw all souls from the map to you.
  
• Level Burst: Upon leveling up, receive +25% Damage and +15% Reload Speed for 5 seconds.
  
• Spectral Scythe: Performs a scythe cut around you, dealing damage and healing you per enemy hit.
  
• Ethereal Form: After using Soul Drain, you become ethereal for 4 seconds, gain +50% movement speed (ignoring the cap during the period) and becomes able to pass through enemies but unable to use your weapons.
  
• Friends From the Other Side: Killing enemies has a 15% chance to summon a ghost that attack nearest enemy.
  
• Living Battery: Every time the Electrify effect procs, you gain a live battery charge. Upon taking damage, you lose all charges, triggering an electrical explosion that deals damage equal to the number of charges.
  
• Sentry Turret: Press shift to enter build mode or switch turret blueprints. Press LMB to build the turret.

Hunters!!

Lots of you have already been enjoying Vampire Hunters on the Steam Deck.
But now, for the 1.0, we are very happy to announce that the game has the 'Verified' seal!

With the giant update, there will also be tons of improvements for the Steam Deck, including several optimizations, legibility improvements, controller prompts fixes and so on.

The moment we've all been waiting for is almost here! Vampire Hunters 1.0 arrives in one week, on October 30th 10:00AM PDT on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

We have prepared this featurette to showcase some of the new stuff, so check it out!

I'm sure you are all dying to learn more about the new content and all the improvements coming in the 1.0. So check out the highlights below:

• Evocation Portal: Press shift to place a summoning portal that lasts for 30 seconds. You'll summon creatures like Legion, Blood Imp, Skeleton Archer and Frost Skull to fight for you.
  
• Horn of the Wicked: Start the run by choosing a Unique relic.
  
• Light Feet: You will hover in the air while jumping or falling. You can also jump higher.
  
• Soul Drain: Draw all souls from the map to you.
  
• Level Burst: Upon leveling up, receive +25% Damage and +15% Reload Speed for 5 seconds.
  
• Spectral Scythe: Performs a scythe cut around you, dealing damage and healing you per enemy hit.
  
• Ethereal Form: After using Soul Drain, you become ethereal for 4 seconds, gain +50% movement speed (ignoring the cap during the period) and becomes able to pass through enemies but unable to use your weapons.
  
• Friends From the Other Side: Killing enemies has a 15% chance to summon a ghost that attack nearest enemy.
  
• Living Battery: Every time the Electrify effect procs, you gain a live battery charge. Upon taking damage, you lose all charges, triggering an electrical explosion that deals damage equal to the number of charges.
  
• Sentry Turret: Press shift to enter build mode or switch turret blueprints. Press LMB to build the turret.
